Desert Reclamation Choices
Apply Clay Nano Flakes once and
achieve permanent benefits from the
soil
1. Clay Nano Flakes
Our patented invention, Clay Nano
Flakes, is homogenizing the clay
into individual flakes in water.
Clay Nano
Flakes gives one control of the wind
erosion, water consumption reduced
with 50%, enhanced germination,
increased yield, and control of the
global temperature.
With Clay Nano Flakes there is just
one needed operation:
Let us do a turnkey treatment of
your desert area with the Clay Nano
Flakes by watering this onto the
sandy soils and the basic
reclamation is done.
The Clay Nano Flakes are giving the
soil the following benefits:
- A much lower consumption of
clay. By using Clay Nano Flakes the
requirement of clay has been reduced
to approximately 16% or less of the
previous study, when applying it to
the same depth;
-
Higher sorption capacity
(minimize water loses through
evaporation and deep percolation);
-
Higher cat-ion exchange
capacity;
-
Higher swelling and bonding
capacity;
-
Higher plasticity;
-
Provide the growing plants
with nutrients;
-
Expected to give up to 176% higher
yield using up to 50% less water.
2. The possibilities with Clay
Nano Flakes
2.1
Giving 99% reduction of the wind
erosion with velocities of up to 27
m/s, according to the verification
tests described in item
3.
2.2
By applying Clay Nano Flakes in
fine dune sand with 2 litres per m2
ground results in a penetration
depth of 10 mm.
- Depending
on mixture the a surface
strength can be modified from barely
binding to of 1 kg per cm2
Fixating the sand increases the
growth of plants and trees and gives
less CO2 to the
atmosphere and gives lower the
temperature in the area.
2.3
Saving up to 50% of water (in fine
dune sand) in the agricultural
watering systems and giving 100%
germination of the seeds: (Apply
Clay Nano Flakes once to achieve the
permanent savings)
-
A plant root layer of 100 mm demand: Clay Nano
Flakes and 10 litre per m2
-
A plant root layer of 400 mm demand: Clay Nano
Flakes and 43 litre per m2.
2.4
The combination is possible too.
First apply the Clay Nano Flakes for
saving water and afterwards the Clay
Nano Flakes for controlling the sand
movement.

Verification tests
have been performed by Desert
Research Center, Cairo, Egypt, April
2006. Reports of the tests are
available upon request.
4. Background of clay for soil
improvement:
Sandy soils are well known as being
droughty, erodible, infertile and
non-economical to develop. Research
up to and including 1987 with
natural clay as a soil conditioner
resulted in successfully results with
up to 176% higher yield using up to
50% less water.
However, the clay conditioner gave
no binding of the sand-particles
versus sand movement and proved to
be too expensive to apply in the
field due to the high costs of the
mechanical work required (large
amount of clay, intensive ploughing
plus watering).
Report of the above researches is
available upon request: ‘Sandy Soil
Reclamation’ performed by Academy of
Scientific Research and Technology.
1987.
